Its service-oriented members, representing foreign shipowners whose vessels call on Philippine ports, are actively and regularly engaged in business in its capacity as Liner, Port, or Tramp shipping agents.

As an organization, the PSAA has emerged as a powerful force in promoting a better business climate that benefits the bottom line and a healthier relationship with the port authorities and port contractors.
By putting up strong representations with various government agencies, the PSAA helps formulate the regulatory code and tariff affecting port operations costs. Containing excessive port charges has untimely benefitted the interests of the members’ principals.
Participation in the PSAA helps promote a higher social, business, and professional standard among its members in the conduct of their port operations.
Keynote speakers are periodically invited during General Membership Meetings to directly discuss with the members any prevailing key issues affecting the current state of port conditions as well as the latest regulatory requirements.
With the PSAA’s role and influence in the industry complementing its members’ daily agency requirements, a strong partnership needed to meet the challenges of the next millennium has been forged.
